Favorite Workout: "My favorite workout is to run before the sun comes up in the middle of the street through my neighborhood. No headphones, no traffic, just me and the street."
Scottie, mom of 4
Frisco, TX

It is my passion and my privilege to help moms improve their health, boost energy levels and look better than they ever imagined.  As the president and founder of Optimom Fitness, I coach moms every day.  Through in-home personal training, I have the unique opportunity to step into the homes and lives of moms.  My goal is not only to raise their fitness level, but also coach them to become an Optimom.

My philosophy is simple - with everything moms must accomplish each day, Motherhood Is An Endurance Sport®.  Endurance athletes train their bodies to go the distance. Moms are no different. They require the energy and the strength to remain strong, productive and positive throughout an active, and sometimes challenging, day. Then, they demand the vitality to wake up each day and do it all over again.

I am certified by The Cooper Institute as a personal trainer, in providing dietary guidance, as a pre/post natal fitness instructor and in the biomechanics of resistance training.  I also earned the 24 Hour Fitness Complete Personal Training Certification and am a member of IDEA, the world's leading membership organization of health and fitness professionals.  Pre-motherhood, I worked in strategic marketing communications, with experience in branding, copywriting and media relations.  I hold a bachelor of science degree with magna cum laude honors from Southern Methodist University.

As a mother of two young girls, I’m right there in the trenches doing my best to balance motherhood, marriage and career.  In the midst of a hectic family life, I have an unwavering commitment to achieving my personal best.  This pledge makes me a better woman, wife and mom.  My long-term commitment to fitness, nutrition and a wellness-focused lifestyle led me to discover a love for the sport of triathlon and endurance sports, earning a spot on the cover of the May 2005 issue of Runner Triathlete News.  Through training and races, I have the opportunity to meet countless outstanding moms focused on raising their wellness to the next level.

Every day I strive to be an Optimom.  I welcome this opportunity to help you discover the extraordinary life of an Optimom.
